Fun Activities for Kids
Family Fun Activities

Use Fun Kids Activities
For Homeschool Activities
Or For Educational Activities

There are many fun activities for kids that can be used for homeschool activities or for family fun activities.

Kids enjoy learning when it’s fun, and educational activities can be fun! Whether you plan for an indoor or outdoor session, an activity strictly for learning or one just for fun—your kids will love to participate if you make it fun for them!

So, everything from cooking with children to playing word games while driving in the car—can become a fun activity for the family.

And, many fun activities do NOT require you to purchase anything or go anywhere…

Children exploring a pond, a children’s outdoor activity for their home school.

Exploring a pond can be a great fun outdoor activity!

Family Fun Activities

If you use your imagination, you can make almost any activity fun for kids.

For example, I remember one time riding in the car with my three girls. The ride was pretty long, and the girls were getting antsy. So I made up scary ghost stories and told them as we rode along.

The ride ended up being fun for all of us—and it certainly went a lot faster than it would have, if I had listened to my three complaining children for the last 45 minutes!

Here are some ideas for activities for your home school or your family:

  • Cooking with Children – There are lots of reasons to cook with your children. Cooking and baking together is great fun, but it can also be quite educational!

  • Kid Friendly Recipes – This recipe ebook was written just for kids—so they can make homemade dog treats for their dogs and their dogs’ friends. Kids can read it and the directions are written in kid language…

  • Reading Comprehension Activities – Teaching children new words by speaking them helps build vocabulary. And, when children recognize and know the words in a story, their reading comprehension improves.

  • Christmas Activities for Kids – Children, like us, love Christmas. Here are some great Christmas activities that you can do with your kids…

  • Halloween Activities for Kids – Halloween can be lots of fun—if you keep the activities safe and appropriate…

  • Children Cooking Activities – Children love to cook. That’s why cooking activities for children is a great way to get them to learn…

  • Kids Sports Activities – Make sure your child gets physical activity, as well as mental activity. One way to do this is to get her involved in sports.

  • Thanksgiving Activities for Kids – Teaching children to be thankful and to share with others, can be a part of your fun Thanksgiving activities.

  • Kids Art Activities – You don’t have to be artistic yourself to get your kids involved in kids art activities…

  • Kids Science Activities – Most kids love to experiment. And kids science activities can be simple or very complicated—depending on how you want it to go…

  • Bible Activities for Kids – Even though your child may attend Sunday School, you can still have fun at home with Bible activities for kids…

  • Math Activities for Kids – Math activities can make an otherwise dry subject come to life…

  • Easter Activities for Kids – Try some of these Easter activities with your kids…

  • Following Directions Activities for Kids – Practicing following directions helps your child do things independently. Using fun activities for kids makes following directions more fun!

  • Money Activities for Kids – No child should be without an understanding of money, saving money and using money wisely…

  • Homeschooling Field Trips – Field trips are fun activities—for both parents and kids…

You will be able to think of other fun activities for kids, I’m sure. Use your imagination and think of how you can use everyday activities to teach your children simple skills.

You will be surprised at how many family fun activities will just seem to come out of nowhere!
